York Community Print

York Community Print is a small non-profit making print operation run by volunteers - we are able to offer budget printing to voluntary and community organizations, though we occasionally do work for local businesses. We have three Risograph printing machines that are able to print in black and white on A4 or A3 paper. We can also offer green, red and blue as spot colours, though there are some limitations on the artwork. 100% recycled paper is included in the price as standard.

If you’d like a simple leaflet design or need a colour-separated file for spot colour printing, we can also offer a budget service for basic design and setup.

Our normal price is currently £20.00 per 1,000 double sided copies in black and white subject to a minimum order of 500. There’s a small additional charge, usually £2 per 1,000, for each additional spot colour. Included in this price is guillotining or folding (in half or to DL size) if required – though please note that we can’t do cross-folding. We are also able to do basic design and layout which will also enable colour separation for jobs where more than one colour is used.

We can usually clear jobs within a fortnight at most of receiving the copy, though often it’s possible to go to print much more quickly. You can collect the work from our office close to York city centre, or optionally we can post the items to you with postage charged at cost.
