Final Fantasy VII - A Prologue

An energy was being harvested by an industrial company known as the Shinra Company and was being used to control the land. That energy was "Mako" and at their base, Midgar, Mako Reactor was built to generate power.

However, this Mako energy that the Shinra said would bring eternal happiness was the root of all life. Including the life of the planet. At this rate, the planet was soon to die.

A small group of people who knew about this decided to form a group known as Avalanche and took action to protest against Shinra. Amongst Avalanche was a former soldier of Shinra, Cloud. He had no feelings or principles. Just a soldier who has decided to devote himself to Avalanche and participate in their actions.

However, behind that emotionless face, this battle was really to fill in Cloud's forgotten past. He must find out why he must live and begin a harsh journey.
